The Early Spark
Zarek’s journey behind the lens began at just six years old, when he picked up a camera and instantly fell in love with capturing the world around him. That early spark turned into a lifelong passion, eventually leading him to the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned his BFA in Narrative, Documentary, and Editorial Photography. With a strong foundation in storytelling through images, Zarek has developed a unique visual voice that blends authenticity, creativity, and a deep understanding of people.
A Lifetime of Storytelling
After graduating, Zarek launched his first studios in Connecticut and New York, where his work quickly gained attention. He shot covers and fashion spreads for a children’s fashion magazine, produced catalog images, contributed to local newspapers, and built a thriving business in headshots, weddings, and portrait photography. Every assignment—from editorial shoots to personal milestones—allowed him to refine his style and connect more deeply with his clients.
Looking to grow and explore new creative opportunities, Zarek moved to Los Angeles, where he continues to expand his career and collaborate with a diverse range of individuals and brands. His approach is warm and professional, with an emphasis on storytelling, emotion, and natural beauty. Whether It’s a portrait session, a wedding day, working with actors, families, designers, or entrepreneurs, Zarek brings out the best in every subject with ease and expertise with his relaxing energy and creative flair that turns every session into a great experience.
